Electrophysiology services now available at Auburn Medical Center

Tariq Salam, MD, Electrophysiology Cardiologist and Medical Director of the EP Center of Excellence, and the Pulse Heart Institute Puget Sound Region (PSR) EP Team completed the first EP Ablation case at Auburn Medical Center on January 29. The case was very successful and the procedure was done without fluoroscopy, ensuring less exposure to radiation for both the patient and staff. Dr. Salam and his team are known for their work advancing fluoroless ablations.

Heart Month – February – may look different this year due to the ongoing restrictions of COVID-19. But that doesn’t mean that there won’t be opportunities for learning and fun.

While most of us are not as clustered together as we used to be, you can still share a photo of yourself wearing red. Ask someone to take a picture of you, or take a selfie and have it posted on the Pulse Go Red ​website. Photos will be posted to that site as the day goes on, and afterward as well.

Two important pieces to this planning are increasing OR access for surgeons and accommodating growth.
